Brand Identity for Trackbill – The WhatsApp-Integrated Finance Assistant
Poi Studio crafted a vibrant, youth-centric brand identity for Trackbill, a B2C fintech startup that allows users to instantly track receipts and manage finances directly through WhatsApp.
Design Style
To capture a modern "Silicon Valley startup" energy, we designed a visual language that feels native to the platform yet distinctively flashy. We utilized a foundation of Dark and Light Green to create an immediate visual association with WhatsApp. To avoid looking generic, we injected bold, energetic pops of Pink and Light Blue. This palette creates a friendly and approachable aesthetic, specifically tailored to appeal to busy startup founders and college students who want finance to feel fun, not tedious.
Challenges
The primary challenge was humanizing a digital interface. Since the product is essentially a bot, we needed to prevent the user experience from feeling cold or robotic. We had to visually communicate the seamlessness of the user journey—scanning a QR code to immediately start chatting—while establishing enough trust for a financial tool. The goal was to balance the client's request for a "flashy" and "cute" vibe without compromising the perceived reliability of the service.
Final Deliverables
The centerpiece of the new identity is "Billie," a custom-designed mascot we created to serve as the user's "personal accountant." Billie gives a face to the AI, reinforcing the conversational nature of the product. The final brand package included the logo, color systems, and marketing visuals that illustrate specific use cases, showing users how they can simply ask Billie natural questions like "How much did I spend last week?" or "When did I last visit Walmart?"
